What is Virtual School?
VIRTUALSchool is the path to PAINLESS administrative computing. This is the administrators and business managers dream for getting the most for your budgeted dollars.
(Please see the description on the Position Wanted page.)

VirtualSchool is thinc TECHNOLOGIES's server site on the Internet. [http://www.virtualschool.com] The server has THINC TECHNOLOGIES's administrative software for Private Schools and all of the required software to run and maintain the system. You can access the server from anywhere in the world that you can access the Internet and use the software. There is also an option for locally hosted server where thinc TECHNOLOGIES will place a server in your school.

The server has a copy of the database for each School that is using the system. To access the system you must logon with a user name and password which takes you to your copy of the database. A School/Parish can have multiple user names with different access permissions assigned to each name.

VirtualSchool lets you pay as you go. There is no huge upfront purchase followed by months of anxiety waiting to see if the system will fit your needs.

VirtualSchool fixes your administrative computing cost for the length of the agreement (from 1 to 5 years). thinc TECHNOLOGIES owns and maintains the server and software.

VirtualSchool is designed for Private schools and therefore provides programs for tuition management and alumni/development that are not available in other solutions.

VirtualSchool is flexible. You can select the modules you need and pay a corresponding rate. This is not a one size-fits-all and you pay a fixed rate per student.

There are two ways to use VIRTUALSchool:
Application Service Provider (ASP)
The ASP method host the software and data on our application servers in Louisville, Kentucky. You connect to the server using the internet as a wide area network. We provide all equipment, software, support and even the electricity. You pay a small setup fee and then a monthly use fee based on the software you choose, the size of your school and the number of concurrent connections you need.
Local Hosted Server (LHS)
The LHS method host the software and data on our server that we place in your school. You connect to the server your local area network and use the system just as if you had purchased it. We provide all equipment, software and support. We connect to the server using the internet for support and updates. You pay an installation and setup fee and then a monthly use fee based on the software you choose, the size of your school and the number of concurrent connections you need.

In both cases the single monthly fee covers everything except support hours. We own the hardware and software and are responsible for maintaining everything except for your internal local area network and PCs. Hardware and software maintenance are included. This approach lets you fix your budgeted cost for 2, 3 or 5 years and frees up staff time that would otherwise be required to support a purchased system.

All of our products and modules are available except In Class Room Attendance and Lunch Count requires the LHS installation.
